John Leggett (1799 - ?)
Born in approximately 1799 in Glemham, Suffolk. John married Mary (maiden name unknown, born 1801 Laxfield, Suffolk). They had seven children Betsy (1829), James (1831), Hannah (1833), William (1836), Henry (1839), Mary (1842), and Harriet (1844). John's occupation was a wheelwright.

John and his family on the 1841 and 1851 lived at Little Glemham, Suffolk. On the 1861 census Mary and her daughter Hannah lived at Schole Road, Little Glemham, Suffolk, and in 1871 Mary lived on her own at Church Road, Little Glemham, Suffolk.

46 - William Leggett (1836 - 1913)
Born in 1836 and christened on the 18th September 1836 in Little Glemham, Suffolk. William married Phoebe APPLEBY on the 25th December 1857 in the parish church of St Margaret, Ipswich, Suffolk, their witnesses were William Edwards and Sarah Ann Poole.. They had was eight children Emily Mary (18/12/1858), William (1861), Alfred (1863), Edith Alice (1866), Louisa (1868), Frederick (1870), Florence (1874), and Albert Thomas (1876).

William's occupation was a carpenter/joiner. On the 1871 census the family lived at 15 Langton Street, Chelsea, London, on the 1881 census they lived at 6 Langton Street, Chelsea, London, on the 1891 and 1901 at 31 Langton Street, Chelsea, London. Phoebe's first name on the 1891 and 1901 census returns is listed as Sarah?

On the 1911 William and his wife Phoebe were living at 31 Langton Street, Chelsea, London, and their grandson Anson Kesteven (b.1889) was also there. William's occupation was listed as a carpenter.

William sadly died on the 24th October 1913 in Chelsea, London from asthma, bronchitis and cardiac failure.

23 - Emily Mary Leggett (1858 - 1889)
Born on the 18th December 1858 at Mount Street, Ipswich, Suffolk. Emily married Dennis BATT 1880 and they had three children together Albert Edward (1880), Florence Edith (1882) and Maude (1886).

On the 1881 census Emily, Dennis and family were living at 22 Seymour Place, Kensington, London. Emily died aged 29 in London, September 1889.
